Its employment, employee benefits and executive compensation practice provides expert legal advice on transactions, reorganizations and other business matters, as well as advising on compliance, policies and a wide variety of workplace issues. Its clients are many of the largest and most sophisticated in Canada, across all industries and sectors. The firm is now looking to add a partner to take a leadership role on solicitor employment matters. A book of business is not required – instead you will be relied upon for your legal and technical expertise, judgment and advice in employment law.

The ideal candidate will have 10 to 15 years of experience in employment law, especially on the solicitor side. This experience should have been gained in a well-respected firm or corporation. The position will appeal to candidates who take a diligent, detail-oriented yet practical approach to employment law and who enjoy intellectual challenges and finding creative solutions for clients. The capacity to work on complex employment matters, both independently and collaboratively, in a fast-paced, non-hierarchical environment is a must. Bilingualism and/or previous U.S. law experience is not necessary for the role but would be considered an asset.
