The Greater Toronto Airports Authority (GTAA) is the operator of Toronto Pearson International Airport.  Toronto Pearson is Canada’s busiest airport, and North America’s second largest international passenger airport.  It is a hub for the movement of people and goods across the country, continent and around the globe.   It is the first Canadian airport to be accredited under the Airports Council International Airport Health Accreditation Program and has launched its “Healthy Airport” program, important steps that demonstrates the airport’s deep commitment to promoting health and safety as air travel begins to recover.

The GTAA now seeks to add a Manager, Board Services, to its legal team.  Reporting to the Legal Counsel and Corporate Secretary, the Manager, Board Services is responsible for managing the coordination and execution of Board and committee meetings, and providing support to the Board of Directors and Committees.  You will draft meeting agendas, assist in preparation and review of meeting materials and liaise with stakeholders to ensure the meeting of deadlines.  You will also oversee, post, and coordinate distribution of meeting materials through the Board portal, attend Board and Committee meetings as required, assist in the preparation of minutes, and prepare post-meeting action lists.  In providing Board support, you will coordinate logistics for Board orientation and education programs and the Board Strategic Retreat, manage attendance records, remuneration, and annual budgets associated with Board and Committee meetings, records of communication and reference materials on the Board portal, and official minute books.  This position is located at Toronto Pearson (accessible from downtown via the Union Pearson Express).

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of experience in corporate secretarial administration, gained from a reputable organization.  Experience working with a public company as well as a legal background and/or certification in corporate governance is preferred but not a requirement.  A high level of professionalism, judgment, discretion and diplomacy, excellent communication and organizational skills and attention to detail, and the ability to work as part of a team, are essential to this role.
