Securities Law and Compliance Clerk (3 – 6 Years’ Experience)

This fast-paced Company is now seeking a Securities Law and Compliance Clerk to support its Legal Department. As the sole securities law and compliance clerk, you will be responsible for running the Company’s internal securities compliance and trading program, handle all public securities filings (Canada and USA), e.g. SEDI, SEDAR and EDGAR filings, maintain the monitoring system and supporting the Legal Team, as required. You will work directly with the in-house lawyers and be an integral part of the Legal Team.

The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of securities law clerk experience from a leading law firm or corporation. Any exposure to securities law compliance and M&A law will also be of particular interest. Training will be provided for the Company’s compliance and trading programs and if you do not have experience with EDGAR filings. Excellent attention to detail and the ability to take ownership will be required to succeed in this position. In addition, you are a team player who has demonstrated a strong work ethic, dependability and the ability to multitask. You must be comfortable with a high level of responsibility in a fast-paced work environment, be able to prioritize competing demands and possess the ability to work independently. As you will be party to highly confidential information, a high degree of professionalism is required.
