The Legal Department plays a critical role in ensuring compliance, managing risks, and supporting business operations across all areas of real estate transactions, leasing, litigation and more. It is now looking to add a Legal Team Coordinator and Administrator to join its dynamic legal team. Reporting to the AVP, Head of Legal Leasing, you will coordinate the execution and tracking of contracts and other legal documents, support the lawyers with ongoing projects, and oversee the legal billing function. You will also provide administrative support to the legal team, including coordinating weekly team meetings, managing calendars, and overseeing the legal inbox to triage inquiries and redirect correspondence to the appropriate team member. In addition, you will communicate with external legal counsel, internal departments, and tenants as a point of contact for the legal department. This position is located on the subway line at Yonge and St Clair, with a 4 day/week in-office requirement.
The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of experience as an administrative assistant. Experience in real estate and/or legal is an asset but is not required. In order to succeed in this role, you will need to have exceptional communication skills, be highly organized, detail-oriented and possess the skillsets to multi-task, prioritize and take initiative. In addition, the ability to work independently, take ownership, and move matters forward will also be required. You must be a team player and be confident in collaborating with internal and external stakeholders.
