Our client is a publicly-listed Canadian company that delivers support services and solutions, with clients in Canada and the United States.  It is one of the fastest growing companies in the country, and is now looking to hire a Corporate Law Clerk to support its legal team.

For this role, the majority of the work will be on the corporate side, attending to corporate filings and annual returns (both federal and provincial), maintaining corporate records, org charts and minute books, and preparing contracts and legal templates.   In addition, you will coordinate SEDI, TSX, and SEDAR filings and continuous disclosure documents.  You will also assist with preparation for Board meetings, including preparation of Board materials, agendas, and minutes.  This position will report to the General Counsel and be based in the head office in Mississauga, in a hybrid work arrangement.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of experience as a corporate and/or securities law clerk, gained from a law firm or corporation.  Completion of a law clerk diploma program and/or the ILCO certification is preferred.  You must be highly organized, possess strong attention to detail, and be a self-starter who is able to take initiative and work independently.  Any experience working with SEDAR+ and Diligent would be an asset, though not required as training will be provided.

This is an excellent opportunity to build a career in a dynamic organization, in a collegial, close-knit team, that offers a competitive compensation package and work/life balance.  If you are interested in applying, please submit, in confidence, your cover letter and resume to the attention of Lesa Ong or Lorene Nagata at NagataConnex Executive Legal Search to [email protected].
