Senior Real Estate Law Clerk

Our client, one of the top firms in Canada, is looking to add a Senior Real Estate Law Clerk to their team.

The ideal candidate will have over 8 years’ experience as a Real Estate Clerk in a law firm or in-house environment. This role is involved in all aspects of the Real Estate practice from title searches to complex transactions to registrations and closing books. 

Specific responsibilities include: 

  • Working with the firm’s real estate and municipal law practice groups, will be responsible for managing and assisting with a variety of commercial sale, purchase and financing transactions from beginning to end.
  • Ordering and interpreting title and execution search results, preparing transactional documents, preparing title reports and document summaries, conducting off-title inquiries. 
  • Preparing and registering electronic documents and non-electronic documents such as transfers, applications (general), construction liens, certificates of action, court orders, certificates of pending litigation and estate related documentation.
  • Preparing closing agendas and closing record books.
  • Liaising with lawyers, clients, third party service providers and various Ministry officials as required. 

 The ideal candidate will have:

  • 8+ years of relevant experience gained in a law firm or in-house environment.
  • Full proficiency in Teraview.
