The Greater Toronto Airports Authority (GTAA) is the operator of Toronto Pearson International Airport. Toronto Pearson is Canada’s busiest airport, and one of the largest international passenger airports in North America. It is a hub for the movement of people and goods across the country, continent and around the globe. Recently the GTAA launched Pearson LIFT, a capital plan spanning more than a decade, representing significant investment into Toronto Pearson’s facilities through several construction programs aimed at preparing Canada’s largest airport for the challenges and opportunities of the coming years and beyond.
The GTAA is seeking an Executive Assistant to join their team and support the Chief Legal Officer (“CLO”). This person will take a leadership role to provide operational support to the legal department by tracking priorities, deadlines, deliverable and invoices (via Brightflag). They will also manage the incoming emails to the CLO in order to triage and prioritize inquiries. Having the ability to maintain secure electronic and physical filing systems using i-Share, SharePoint, OneDrive, and other retention systems is also required. In addition to liaising within the legal team, this individual will also keep an open line of communication with internal executives, external counsel, regulators and stakeholders on behalf of the CLO. This position directly reports to the Chief Legal Officer and is based out of the GTAA offices near Toronto Pearson Airport. This role offers a hybrid work arrangement, being required in office 3 times per week minimum. The target total compensation for this role, including base salary and target bonus, is $90,000 – $121,000 annually. This is a current vacancy within the legal team.
The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of experience as an Executive Assistant and must have experience supporting a General Counsel or Chief Legal Officer. You should be highly organized, confident, as well as be detail oriented. Having the ability to exercise strong judgement is key for this position, as you will be required to balance multiple priorities. Being a team player and being able to collaborate and maintain open communication with your team is also essential for success in this role.
